Can you help us out so we can keep working?

During the summer of 2010 we created The Artist's Laboratory Theatre, an ensemble company dedicated to storytelling through the process of experimentation. For our first project, we created a performance lab based on a workshop production of "Bombs, Babes, and Bingo," by Merri Biechler. We ended up producing the show in Fayetteville, Oklahoma City, and at the New Orleans Fringe Festival. We did all of that through the support of our friends and family by way of crowd funding sources such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo, as well as direct donations. ALL of our money came from personal contributions. Thank you for your support! Without your generosity, we could not have been so successful.

Wish List

What we dream and hope for in 2011:

  • A home- we want to create the lab in a real house. if you know anyone who can even lend a rental to us temporarily...
  • A large rehearsal space- as an ensemble we train physically together, which requires a spacious room.
  • Air mileage- we believe one of our strengths is in our collaboration with national artists. Please help us bring in our creative comrades! If you have extra mileage you have been saving up, please consider donating it to us. We will use it well, we promise.
  • Financial resources to produce Place Project in Fayetteville and other cities, and festivals.

And we feel extremely successful! We got a lot done. In addition to the lab and multiple productions, we created the very first Sheetfort Experience- oh, and we started a brand new project!

The Artist's Laboratory Theatre begins 2011 with a new story. We are developing a play about Superfund America, Place and Home. We started out already by visiting Picher, OK Oklahoma- a Superfund site just two hours from Fayetteville. Check out our photos and lab entries on our blog:

We are a small ensemble dedicated to process, so this development period is like an incubation. All we need is time and space. We are resourceful, but unfortunately, no matter how scrappy and DIY the arts organization, money is still necessary for basic operational costs.

You may still support us through Fractured Atlas by making a donation. You can make a one time donation or set up a small monthly draft if you'd like to spread out your contribution and make the cost more manageable!

The Artist’s Laboratory Theatre is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a nonprofit arts service organization. Contributions in behalf of The Artist’s Laboratory Theatre may be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax- deductible to the extent permitted by law.

We greatly appreciate any help you can give.
